1) Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using The Pet Casebook website (the “Site”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the magazine only.

2) Who we are

3) Audience and access

The Site is intended for adults (18+). We do not offer user accounts or public commenting. Access may be suspended, limited or withdrawn at any time for maintenance, security or policy reasons.

4) No accounts, no transactions

The magazine does not enable purchases or payment processing. Any future commerce features, if introduced, will be governed by separate terms.

5) Editorial nature; no advice

Content is humorous, satirical and informational. It is not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, fitness or otherwise). You rely on it at your own risk.

6) Acceptable use

  • Do not violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
  • Do not impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Do not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Site, or bypass or interfere with security or access controls.
  • Do not introduce malware or harmful code, or overload or disrupt servers or networks.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, harvest or index the Site or its content at scale, including via bots or automated tools, without our prior written consent.
  • Do not use Site content, data or metadata to train, fine tune or improve any machine learning or AI system without our prior written consent.
  • Do not infringe intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.

7) Intellectual property; limited license

The Site and its content (including text, images, graphics, layout, trademarks and logos) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non exclusive, non transferable license to access and view the Site for personal, non commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, translate, create derivative works, publicly display or otherwise exploit content without prior written consent, except as allowed by law such as fair use.

8) Submissions (email, DM, contact form)

We do not enable public posting on the Site. If you email us, use the contact form or mention or tag us on social media (collectively, “Submissions”), you represent that you have all necessary rights and that your Submissions do not infringe any rights or laws. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, Submissions are non confidential and you grant us a worldwide, royalty free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish and display them in connection with the Site and our editorial activities. We may decline, edit or remove Submissions at our discretion.

9) Links to third party websites and services

The Site may contain links to or embeds of third party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy policies or practices. Your use is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.

10) Copyright complaints (DMCA or similar)

If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, email info@petcasebook.com with: (a) your contact details; (b) identification of the copyrighted work; (c) identification of the allegedly infringing material, including URL; (d) a good faith statement; (e) a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We may remove or disable access to the material and, where appropriate, notify the contributor.

11) Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy (Magazine Only).

12) Disclaimers

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error free, or that defects will be corrected.

13) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with the Site or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Site shall not exceed US$100 or the amount you paid us, if any, for accessing the Site in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

14) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless us and our affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your Submissions, your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice before new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use the Site after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Site.

16) Termination or suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for operational or security reasons. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law.

17) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in the United Arab Emirates for disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Site. If mandatory local law grants you consumer protections or venue rights that cannot be waived, those rights remain unaffected.

18) International use

We make no representation that the Site or content are appropriate or available for use in every jurisdiction. If you access the Site from outside the UAE, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

19) Severability; entire agreement; waiver

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede prior or contemporaneous agreements on this subject. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
